[MACAU TRIP] Tapas de Portugal and Japanese Culture and Music Festival

Good morning Macau! Last weekend I went to Macau with ma chérie Nola (our very first trip!)

Macau is still one of my favourite places to go for a short trip. First, it’s super convenient (pier at Sheung Wan, all you need is your HKID) and we can still use HKD at Macau. Apart from being the "Oriental Las Vegas", Macau's cultural diversity is so fascinating. Macau still keeps their unique Portuguese and Macanese culture.

Speaking of Portuguese culture, Portuguese food in Macau is definitely a must-try. We tried out 2018 HK Tatler Best Restaurant, Tapas de Portugal, located at the heart of Taipa Village Macau.

An authentic taste of the real Portugal.

The interior design features of Tapas de Portugal represent the Portuguese Macanese heritage.

My favourite pick is the freshly-grilled chorizo asado (grilled chorizo sausage).

Literally 5 minutes away, Japanese Culture and Music Festival was happening at Taipa Village. Including Gourmet showcase, Japan and Macau band shows and cultural performance. And my favourite part: Japanese Culture Experience

Nola and I tried out Japanese Yukata, a type of Japanese kimono which is commonly found in festivals and celebrations around Japan.

We also wrote our wishes on pained ema and hanged on Shrine Wish Wall 🖤

Nola wrote her first Japanese Calligraphy, très jolie  ma chérie :)
